I’m going to start by saying that it’s a dark time for the Internet in the EU. The tl;dr of this post is that the Internet is dead and content creators are fucked.

So, today (as I’m writing this on the 26th March) the European Parliament passed article 11 and 13, these stop people from using copyrights fairly and introduce a link tax which means you cannot create anything which uses a copyrighted asset or link to anything that is external. All content creators on every platform are fucked if they live in the EU since they will not be able to use anything that has a copyrighted logo, trademark or anything to do with a company.
